After Hannah Bronfman said ‘I Do’ to Brendan Fallis in a ceremony in Marrakech earlier this year, she kicked off the evening’s celebrations in an embellished gown from the ELIE SAAB Bridal Fall 2017 collection. Here she recounts how the dress met the moment.
“I wanted something that I would feel incredible in.
I wanted it to be a show-stopper.”
01 - Tell us a bit about your couple’s backstory.
How did you first meet?
It’s funny because I always said you’re never going to find anyone in a nightclub and Brendan and I met in a nightclub in Miami in 2011.
02 - What were you looking for in a
I wanted something that I would feel incredible in. I wanted it to be a show-stopper. I wanted a big dress without looking cheesy. I found the perfect sophistication in my ELIE SAAB reception dress.
03 - How did you know this was the dress you wanted to wear at your wedding reception?
As soon as I put it on, I knew it was the one. I had tried on so many dresses. I also was going to be wearing many dresses throughout the four-day wedding weekend and I had nothing like this in the line up, so I knew that not only it felt right but also it would be the show-stopper out of the bunch.
04 - What detail did you like most about
I loved the neckline! For me that was the best part, having my collarbone out while still having a little princess sleeve like Romy Schneider.
05 - What was your first-dance song?
Our first dance was to Try A Little Tenderness by Otis Redding and we went right into a more dance version of the original song, Otis by Jay Z & Kanye West.
06 - How did you feel on your wedding day in three words?
Surreal, loved, exquisite.
